CASE STUDIES
The following documents are made of report case studies made by the team partners of the project in various European countries. All these empirical studies have been conducted according to a methodological frame. Semi-conducted interviews have been led by the means of questionnaires with the main social players identified as having been involved in all restructuring operation decision making processes (trade unions, Direction of Human Resources, etc.). Apart from some methodological reserves (question of sample representativeness, difficulties of access to the field or to some protagonists, problems to collect data), these case studies are nevertheless hightlighting monographies on restructuring in Europe. They now are to be crossed with theoretical studies carried out by researchers. They will validate or unvalidate some research hypothesis and they will nourish the reflection on the problematics which have been built up (causes, consequences, social actors’strategies, public policies at territorial/national/supranational levels, cross regulations, etc.). They are to be considered as work documents. A summary aiming at enhancing a better understanding of each situation examined complete these case studies.
